FAQ

Yes! I offer both. Most of my sessions are telehealth so you can meet with me from the comfort of your home (cozy blanket optional).

If it’s accessible, you’re also welcome to do in-person sessions at my Fort Lauderdale office. Some clients like to stick with one format, and others prefer a mix that includes telehealth most weeks and in-person when they want the grounding of being in the room together.

We’ll find what works best for you.

In-person sessions are held at 805 East Broward Blvd., #301, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. This welcoming therapy space is designed for our work together – head, heart, and body included.

You can park in the Khospace spots under the building or in the guest parking lot on the side. For a visual guide, check out this short parking video.

Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early. I’ll meet you by the elevator and walk you to the third floor so you know exactly where to go.

I see clients by appointment only and have weekday and evening availability. We’ll find a time that works with your schedule during the consultation.

Sessions are 50 minutes long. I begin the timer within five minutes of your scheduled time so you can receive the entire session without feeling rushed.

I’m a private-pay practice. Here’s why.

Insurance companies often limit the kind of work we can do and how long we can do it. Our sessions remain confidential, meaning nothing is reported to a third party. We move at your pace, not an insurance company’s timeline.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I’ll provide a “superbill” (a detailed receipt) for possible reimbursement.

My fees are comparable to the national average and reflect the training, expertise, and care I bring to each session.

On the call, we’ll…

  • Talk about what you’re looking for in therapy.
  • Discuss how I work
  • Review scheduling, availability, and rates.
  • Decide if we’re a good fit and,

If so, book your first session!

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less notice are billed at the full rate (except in emergencies).

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist with advanced training in somatic therapy, trauma recovery, and embodied healing. I believe that the body is both a messenger and a resource and that strengthening our relationship with it can support us throughout life.

I’m also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and have practiced it for about 10 years. I’ve taught DBT skills, facilitated groups, and integrated it into individual sessions. DBT is one of my favorite tools for helping clients build emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships, all skills that often complement the body-based work we do together.

For over 14 years in private practice, I’ve worked with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, identity, sexuality, and relationships. My approach combines evidence-based practices with creative, body-centered methods so therapy feels both grounded and dynamic.

I work with adults (18+). Whether you’re just becoming an adult or have been adulting so long that you’re over it, you’re welcome here.

I work with individuals of all genders, orientations, and backgrounds. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink-aware, and sex-positive. I currently focus on individual therapy, though I occasionally see couples and polycules.

No boring couch clichés here. Some days we’ll talk, some days we’ll tune into your body’s signals, and some days we’ll literally move – because sometimes dancing it out says what words can’t. Every session is customized to what you need that day.

I may suggest practices to try between sessions – things like journaling, mindfulness tools, grounding exercises, or simple movement explorations. Consider these as ways to help you incorporate therapy into your daily life, not a to-do list.

I integrate:

  • Somatic Counseling & Dance/Movement Therapy (using the body as a resource for healing)
  • Trauma-informed approaches (including polyvagal theory and parts work)
  • Mindfulness & expressive arts
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy
  • And yes, plain ol’ talk therapy, too

The head, heart, and body all sit at the table.

Show up as you are – messy, tired, excited, anxious, or somewhere in-between. Therapy isn’t about performing “healthy” but being real. The more you lean in, try out tools, and let yourself be curious, the more powerful the work becomes.

Absolutely. You don’t need to explain your pronouns, justify your identity, or edit your story here. This is a space where you get to show up whole and unfiltered.

Absolutely. If you’ve been giving so much that you’ve left nothing for yourself, therapy can help you reconnect with your needs, rebuild your boundaries, and restore your sense of self-worth.

Yes. I’m sex-positive, kink-aware, and affirming of diverse relationship styles. You can bring all parts of your relational and sexual identity into the room without fear of judgment.

Dance/Movement Therapy isn’t about performance or choreography. It’s about using movement and body awareness as a tool for healing. Sometimes, it looks like noticing your breath or posture, gentle stretching, and occasionally free movement.

You don’t have to be a dancer (or even coordinated).

“Somatic” means “of the body.” Somatic counseling explores the connection between mind and body – how emotions, trauma, and stress live in the nervous system and how body-based tools can help release them.

It’s therapy that honors the wisdom of your whole self, not just your thoughts.

You might hear them during a virtual session – they occasionally chime in with their therapeutic opinions. They take their role as emotional support sidekicks very seriously.

Yes! Performing is one of my creative outlets. Drag, like therapy, is about expression, embodiment, and transformation – just with more glitter. It’s also a reminder that healing doesn’t have to be rigid; it can be playful, bold, and liberating.

It means I bring steadiness, honesty, and practicality to our work together. I’m down-to-earth, but also deeply invested in growth and transformation. I’ll be a grounded presence when things feel messy, and you can count on me to tell you the truth with compassion.

I take therapy seriously, but I don’t take myself too seriously. You’ll find warmth, humor, and humanity in our sessions because sometimes the best medicine includes equal depth and lightness.
